For performance reasons, classifying a point cloud does not classify the original point cloud file. Rather, a sister file with the same name as the point cloud file with the extension ".classif" is generated to store the classification edits. No changes are made to the original file. Changes are made to the original file only when exporting. To apply the classification edits, make sure the point filter option points to the .classif file.
